Self-Wavelength Initialization Method for the Bragg-grating based Tunable Light source in WDM networks

Abstract

Self-wavelength initialization method, using a spectrally-sliced broadband light, is proposed and demonstrated with transmission performance. Because of broad spectral width of the reference, only 0.5dB penalty was shown under external injection ratio of 3dB.
