Reflective packet add-drop multiplexer based on modulation format agnostic and low-cost optical gate

Abstract

We propose a novel cost efficient node architecture for wavelength division multiplexed packet-switched network based on reflective devices. We demonstrate sub-wavelength switching with a modulation format agnostic packet reflective optical switch.
