Abstract

The digital revolution has resulted up to now in the need for increasingly powerful and energy-hungry infrastructures. This paper provides an operator’s viewpoint on how to face this challenge, including some intermediate results of France Telecom Orange energy action plan and some expected technological and architectural evolutions of ICT infrastructures.
