Abstract

We review the latest progress of burst-mode transceivers for 10G-EPON. The OLT XFP with fast/slow self-switching AGC and ONU SFP+ transceivers can achieve a loss budget of 35.9 dB and a fast sync time of 240 ns, which can realize 256-split with 15 km transmission.
