Observation of Giant Dispersive Wave Emission from a Double-Core Microstructured Fiber

Abstract

We achieved highly efficient frequency down-conversion to 1535 nm of 600 ps pump pulses at 1064 nm at the output of a double-core microstructured fiber, based on the mechanism of resonant energy transfer from optical solitons into a dispersive wave.
