Abstract

Utilising only 4GS/s DAC/ADCs and without increasing component bandwidths, record-high real-time end-to-end dual-band 17.5Gb/s optical OFDM transmission is experimentally demonstrated over an EML-based 25km SSMF IMDD system. The employed 2GHz baseband and 6±2GHz passband achieve 10Gb/s and 7.5Gb/s, respectively by adaptive bit/power loading.
