Abstract

A joint digital signal processing strategy for superchannel systems is introduced and demonstrated to improve system performance over 1280-km SSMF. Joint chromatic dispersion compensation is shown to enable joint inter-channel interference cancellation dramatically reducing spectral generation and detection constraints within superchannel systems.
