Abstract
The results are presented on the study of animal skin specimens ex-vivo irradiated by repetitive Nd-glass laser pulses of nanosecond duration λ = 1.054 µm, I ~ 108 W/cm2 . The mechanism responsible for tissue destruction at given conditions is shown to be a photodisruption occurring due to selective energy absorption by endogenic skin pigments.
