Abstract

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is used to nondestructively monitor cell dynamics and distributions in 3-D engineered tissues. Dynamic processes including cell migration, proliferation, apoptosis, necrosis, and mechanical restructuring are observed during engineering tissue development.
