Thermoacoustic tomography using optical line detection

Abstract

A method for thermoacoustic tomography is presented that uses a line detector for ultrasonic waves. The line is laser beam that is part of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The data acquisition and image reconstruction procedures are described.
