Regional Air Pollution Monitoring by Spectroscopic Techniques

Abstract

An integrated spatiotemporal monitoring system for regional air pollution was constructed which comprises a variety of spectroscopic techniques. The measured results during 2008 Beijing Olympic Games demonstrate the gaseous pollutants formation and the dynamics of the transport of dust particles. Spectroscopic techniques were proved to be critical in regional air quality monitoring applications.
