Scattering loss reduction in subwavelength gratings for solar cell applications

Abstract

We propose a simple postfabrication treatment aiming at scattering loss reduction in silicon subwavelength gratings. The gratings lines are smoothened by the treatment and the measured resonances indicate a reduction in the scattering losses.
