3D microstructuring using ultrafast lasers - a new approach for integrated optics

Abstract

Using a high repetition-rate femtosecond fiber laser system low loss waveguides have been produced at writing speeds of up to 100 mm/s in the bulk of silicate glasses. We will review recent results.
