Near-Field Objective with Radial GRIN Rodlens

Abstract

A very small doublet objective for near-field optical data storage was designed with a radial GRIN rodlens (0.25mm in diameter) and a SIL. The spot size of the experimentally fabricated objective was 280nm (FWHM) at 632.8nm.
