A new trapezoidal topology for designing diffractive optical elements with the iterative simulated quenching optimization

Abstract

Trapezoidal apertures of varying heights are proposed for fitting arbitrary shapes. With the iterative simulated quenching optimization with temperature rescaling to manage the freedom degrees, we obtain high performance of diffractive elements with fewer apertures.
