Resonant grating reflection filters for normally incident Gaussian beams

Abstract

The performance of a resonant grating reflection filter is evaluated for a normally incident monochromatic Gaussian beam. Improved filtering characteristics including increased reflected power, peak reflection efficiency and decreased reflected beam profile degradation are shown.
