Abstract

In this paper, we present a method for evaluating the three-dimensional features of holographic images based on Human Visual System (HVS). This work aims at analyzing what holographic 3D images look like to the human eye. In particular, we focus on simulating of how 3D images focused at different distances are accommodated by a schematic eye model based on HVS. Our numerical simulation is performed by exploiting the complex wave-field distributed in intraocular lights, to effectively deal with holographic properties. Experimental results verify the feasibility and usefulness of our proposed HVS-based holographic image quality analysis method.
