Effect of Aberrations on Moiré Patterns in Digital Holographic Recording Systems

Abstract

Moiré patterns in digital holography with aberrated imaging systems are investigated. By exploiting spherical aberrations, undesired Moire patterns can be eliminated during digital recording of Fresnel holograms using a defocused single-lens imaging system.
