Abstract

This paper presents a comparison of the most commonly applied digital holographic setups, namely Fourier hologram, Fresnel hologram and Image-plane hologram. This comparison is carried out with respect to the required Space bandwith product (SBP) in the recording process, obtained SBP in the reconstruction process, introduced wave aberrations and coherence requirements. This study will be useful to choose a digital holographic setup for a given task.
