Lock-in-photon-counting-based highly-sensitive and large-dynamic imaging system for diffuse optical tomography

Abstract

A prototype continuous-wave diffuse optical tomography system using innovative lock-in-photon-counting detection was developed and tested. The experimental results demonstrate a significant advancement in detecting extremely weak light signals from the multiple wavelengths in parallel.
