Extraction of Tumor Features from Ultrasound Images for Diffused Optical Tomography Reconstruction

Abstract

An advanced ultrasound segmentation algorithm is presented which precisely extracts breast lesion information for co-registered diffused optical tomography. The algorithm extracts lesion location, shape and boundary and inputs these parameters to improve reconstruction of lesion absorption maps.
