Abstract

Hepatocellular carcinoma, the second most lethal cancer worldwide, was detected with photoacoustic imaging via an EGFR specific peptide probe in nude mice xenograft. Tumor contrast peaked at 3 hours post-injection and cleared by 24 hours.
