Abstract

Strong electromagnetic coupling between a molecule and light confined in a nanoscale cavity can lead to significant modifications of the electromagnetic response of the hybrid system as well as internal molecular properties. I will discuss the signatures and consequences of this on ground-state chemical reactions and on ultrafast coupled photonic, electronic, and nuclear dynamics.
