Polarization Entanglement Converted from Spatially Correlated Photon Pairs

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a novel scheme for the generation of polarization entanglement from spatially correlated photon pairs generated by parametric down-conversion. Using the state, we also demonstrate the violation of Bell's inequality.
