Sagnac effect in superposition of vortex states in Bose-Einstein condensates

Abstract

Creating vortex state superposition in Bose-Einstein Condensates (BEC) has been studied by coupling BEC with superpositions of orbital angular momentum states of light. Here we study the Sagnac effect occurring in such superpositions of BEC vortex states.
