Optical analogues of Gaussian wave packets and sub-Planck structures

Abstract

Gaussian wave packets and optical pulses can exhibit interference, quantum entanglement and quantum sub-Planck structures in phase space. FROG measurements of light pulses reveals sub-Planck structures in phase space.
