Stroboscopic Imaging of Acoustic Waves in Nanostructures using Tabletop High Harmonics

Abstract

We report the first dynamic (i.e. stroboscopic), full field, tabletop extreme ultraviolet microscope. This new capability allows us to image longitudinal and transverse acoustic waves in laser-excited Nickel nano-grating on Silicon substrates.
