Lensless Ultra-Miniature Imagers Using Odd-Symmetry Spiral Phase Gratings

Abstract

We introduce a new type of diffractive element based on odd-symmetry phase gratings. Spiral arrangements of these gratings over photosensors constitute a new class of unprecedentedly-small computational camera.
