Target Detection and Discrimination Through Active Multispectral Polarimetric Imaging

Abstract

We show how active polarimetric-multispectral-imaging significantly enhances target detection and discrimination capabilities. In this framework, we demonstrate that the optimal representation of polarimetric images is ruled by the coherence characteristics of the illumination.
