LiNbO3 Photonic Crystal Optical Modulator

Abstract

We report LiNbO3 photonic-crystal electro-optic modulators (EOMs) with a modulation efficiency up to 11 pm/V and a bandwidth up to 17.5 GHz, the smallest LiNbO3 EOM ever demonstrated while with the highest modulation efficiency.
