Topological nanophotonic circuits based on valley kink states

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrated topological light manipulation based on valley kink states, achieving waveguiding, refracting, resonating, and routing of photons on a silicon-on- insulator platform. These functionalities are essential for the development of large-scale backscattering-free photonic systems.
