On-chip mode-controlled waveguiding and versatile multiwavelength light routing using chip-integrated dielectric metasurface for arbitrary polarizations

Abstract

A comprehensive design strategy using waveguide-integrated-metasurface is proposed for versatile on-chip light-coupling. The coupling-direction, operation-wavelength and excitedmode-type are configurable at will for arbitrary polarizations, with high efficiency of 67% and directivity over 20 dB.
