Standoff detection of uranyl fluoride using ultrafast laser filamentation-induced fluorescence

Abstract

We demonstrate that femtosecond laser filamentation combined with time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy is viable for remote detection of uranyl fluoride, a powerful indicator of uranium enrichment activity.
