Pressure- and Temperature-Dependent Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy of Hydroquinone and its Clathrates

Abstract

We study the low-energy dynamics of hydroquinone and its clathrates under pressure using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. Transitions between different phases are observed. The absorption peaks are assigned to lattice vibrational modes using quantum-mechanical simulations.
