Abstract

We present a photoconductive terahertz detector, which utilizes photon trapping to offer broadband terahertz detection, over a 0.1-4.5 THz band, with large dynamic ranges, exceeding 100 dB, without using a short-carrier-lifetime semiconductor substrate.
