Abstract

SOAs are demonstrated as in-line amplifiers in a metro-access system with potential for dynamic reconfiguration and traffic convergence with 5 spans of 40km of SMF and up to 7x200Gb/s DP-16QAM channels using 9 concatenated SOAs.
