Pre-chirp managed amplification of circularly polarized pulses using chirped mirrors for pulse compression

Abstract

We demonstrate an Yb-fiber based pre-chirp managed amplification system that amplifies circularly polarized pulses. Using chirped mirrors as the highly efficient (98%) compressor, the system emits 50-MHz, 42-fs pulses with 83-W average power.
