Testing of an Optomechanical Accelerometer with a High-Finesse On-Chip Microcavity

Abstract

The motion of a microresonator integrated in a silicon hemisphere Fabry-Perot microcavity is used to transduce acceleration. We present the prototype assembly and performance tests of the optomechanical accelerometer.
