Development of Longwave Infrared Tunable Notch Filters

Abstract

Spectrally tunable micro-engineered metamaterial notch filters operating from 8 to 12 micron were developed based on the guided mode resonance phenomenon using a subwavelength germanium grating and planar waveguide grown on a zinc selenide substrate.
