Reconfigurable Mode (De)multiplexer with Integrated Thermo-Optic Long-Period Grating and Y-junction

Abstract

We demonstrate reconfigurable mode (de)multiplexing with an integrated thermo-optic long-period grating and an asymmetric Y-junction. Our fabricated device achieves a mode selectivity >12 dB over the C+L band with a switching power of 198 mW.
