Abstract

Photonic crystal nanobeams engender exceptional high Q/V devices but suffer broadband signal loss off-resonance and low on-resonance transmission. We demonstrate drastically improved transmission metrics without compromising Q-factor using side-coupled excitation with optical momentum matching.
