Abstract

In this paper, a MIR silicon modulator operating at 2 µm wavelength is experimentally demonstrated. The modulator shows 9.7 GHz 3-dB electro-optic bandwidth at Vbias= −3V. We also present optical modulation at 12.5 Gb/s.
