Radiation Balanced Thin Disk Lasers

Abstract

We demonstrate the first radiation balanced thin disk lasers. Ytterbium-doped YLF and YAG thin disks are pumped by a fiber laser in multipass geometry and an InGaAs/GaAs VECSEL in intracavity geometry.
