Two-dimensional, eight-beam combination of ultrashort pulses using two diffractive optics

Abstract

We demonstrate beam combination of eight 120fs pulses, using a diffractive optic pair. This highly scalable technique preserves input pulse width, and achieves 89.5% combining efficiency, limited by the diffractive optic.
