Fast and Ultra-compact Multi-channel All-optical Switches Based on Silicon Photonic Crystal Nanobeam Cavities

Abstract

By performing blue-detuned filtering on the output signal light, we achieve multichannel all-optical switches with a processing density of 320 Tb/s/mm2, which is the highest processing density shown in silicon based multi-channel switches.
