Purification of Photon Subtraction from Continuous Squeezed Light by Filtering

Abstract

We show that Schrödinger cat states, generated by photon subtraction from squeezed states with conventional continuous-wave methods, have an inherent impurity. Furthermore, we show that the impurity is arbitrarily suppressed by optical filtering.
