Parasitic Effect of TE and TM modes in OAM-MDM Transmission Systems

Abstract

We characterize an OAM-MDM link by measuring the channel impulse response using two OAM fiber designs investigating the impact of TE01, TM01 modes on receiver performance and required equalizer taps in separate mode detection schemes.
