Short wavelength mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser based on nonlinear polarization rotation

Abstract

We demonstrate a short wavelength harmonically mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser based on nonlinear polarization rotation. Stable soliton pulsing with record short wavelength of 1787 nm and FWHM of 6.5 nm is achieved.
