Terahertz Surface Plasmons in Grating-Coupled Graphene

Abstract

Pronounced plasmonic absorption features at terahertz frequencies are measured in large-area graphene sheets coupled to periodic arrays of metallic nanoparticles, and limitations on their tunability caused by carrier density inhomogeneities are investigated.
