Ablation rate reduction of silicon interacted with double pulse beam of femtosecond lasers

Abstract

The ablation rate is investigated on a silicon surface irradiated by a double-pulse beam cross-polarized in time delays of −1000 − 1000 ps. The reduced ablation rate is found clearly at delay times of 600ps.
